
Paul Evans began his career with Elite Hoops in the Summer of 2018 as a NIKE Camp Coach and was hired on part-time in the Fall of 2018, upon his graduation from West Georgia. Evans is currently a Skill & Development Trainer at EHB Chamblee.
Coach P played 2 Years At UVa-Wise after a stellar career at Mill Creek High School in Gwinnett, Georgia. He averaged 15 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals per game while shooting 44% from beyond the three point line. He was selected First Team All-Gwinnett County. Evans was a member of the Varsity Team all four seasons of his HIgh School Career. He aided Mill Creek to three consecutive Class 5-A state tournaments, including an Elite 8 appearance in 2011.
Coach P graduated From The University Of West Georgia With a Sports Management Degree, minoring in Business Administration.
Evans brings his defensive expertise as well as his passion for basketball to EHB, giving kids a great example to follow.

2023 marks Lee Miller’s 20th year running Elite Hoops. Previously, Miller has Co-directed the University of Georgia’s basketball camps, worked at Duke University basketball camps and assisted with Jack Haley’s NBA Complete Player Camp in California. In 2004, he was amongst the best upcoming NBA talent while working at the 27th annual Pete Newell’s Big Man Camp in Las Vegas.
Along with his camp expertise, Miller had a brief stint as a walk-on at the University of Georgia in 1998. That lead to him working alongside former UGA Head Coach and 1995 Coach of the Year Jim Harrick while serving as a student assistant at UGA from 1999-2001. There he worked with former Detroit Piston Jarvis Hayes, former Philadelphia 76er Damien Wilkins and current Washington Wizards President Travis Schlenk. During the 2002 and 2007 Final Fours in Atlanta, Miller was on staff for the NCAA’s YES Clinics.
From 2001-2003, Miller served as an assistant coach at Blessed Trinity High School in Roswell, GA. As an assistant at South Gwinnett High School from 2004-2006, Miller helped lead the team to three state tournament appearances including the 2004 State Championship. In 2004, they were ranked as high as #2 in USA Today and played in two nationally televised games. Their star player, Lou Williams, played 17 season in the NBA and was a two-time 6th Man of the Year. Nine other players from that team went on to play collegiate ball.
During the 2006-2007 campaign, Miller coached at Norcross High School. They featured five Division I signees and concluded the season with the 5A State Championship, a 29-3 record, and ranked #12 by USA Today. While at Norcross, Miller had the opportunity to work with NBA Lottery Pick Al-Farouq Aminu of the Chicago Bulls and Gani Lawal who was drafted by the Phoenix Suns. During the summer of 2007, Miller worked at the Kobe Bryant NIKE Skills Academy in Santa Ana, CA at Mater Dei High School which featured 20 of the top high school guards in the country along with 10 of the top collegiate guards.
Miller spent the 2008 season coaching at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia where he worked under 2001 Naismith Coach of the Year, Rod Barnes. In August of 2009, Miller completed a Skill Development Certification Class in Orlando, Florida taught by NIKE Skills Trainer, Ganon Baker.
During the winter of 2011, Miller and his Elite Hoops staff trained high school and professional players throughout Italy on a 10-day excursion. Two years later, he and his team spent a week in Germany with some of the area’s top players, and in January 2015 Elite Hoops was invited to train the teams at John Paul College in Brisbane, Australia over a 2 week period.
Since 2009, Miller has trained over 1500 players, 113 of which have gone on to play at the Division I level. One of which was the 2011 AJC High School Player of the Year and 2017 NBA Rookie of the Year, Malcolm Brogdon of the Boston Celtics. Miller also worked extensively for 4 years with 2014 Georgia Gatorade Player of the Year, Isaiah Wilkins. From 2011-2015, he trained current Los Angeles Laker Malik Beasley and Charlotte Hornet Kobi Simmons as they played high school basketball in metro Atlanta.
In the spring of 2021, Miller brought the Nigerian Women’s Olympic Team into EHB Chamblee to train for one week prior to competing in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Cam Dailey has been working with Elite Hoops for three years, and was named Travel Team Director during the Summer of 2018. Dailey led our Travel Team program for three years and nn August of 2020, Dailey was named the Senior Skills Director of our EHB Alpharetta facility. Dailey played at Tuskegee University, where he averaged 15.5 points and 9.4 assists, while also being ranked in the top 5 in the nation. Dailey also played for Truett-McConnell and Okaloosa-Walton, where he helped lead them to a national championship title in 1995.
Prior to Elite Hoops, Dailey was the Head Assistant Coach at Douglas County High School. During his time at Douglas County High School, he played a crucial role in player skill development. From 2009-2013, Coach Dailey was the Head Coach at Action Sports Academy, with a record of 101-27. Twenty seven of his 32 players went on to play at the collegiate level. Before coaching, Dailey traveled around the country running basketball camps with On the Radar, CBHoops Juco All-American, 5-Star, and numerous Division 1 college camps. Dailey has also played overseas in numerous leagues.

Khalil Carter began his career with Elite Hoops in the Summer of 2017 as a NIKE Camp Coach and was hired on full-time in the Spring of 2018, upon his graduation from Faulkner University in Alabama. Carter was named the Senior Skills Director of EHB Chamblee in the fall of 2019.
In his senior season at Faulkner, Carter helped lead the team to 19 wins and an early season Top-15 ranking. Prior to his time at Faulkner, Carter played at University of West Alabama, where he helped lead his team to a conference championship and the school record for most wins in a single season. While at Brewbaker Tech Magnet High School in Montgomery, Alabama, Carter was a 3-time All-Metro Selection while leading the state in assists his senior year.
Carter brings a high level of energy to EHB, and his passion for making players better is what sets him apart.

JoVanka Ward is in her 5th year with Elite Hoops and Homewood HS where she has an overall record of 94-31.
The 2015-16 Lady Patriots held the Alabama Sports Writers Association #1 Ranking for 6A Girls Basketball for the entire season. Homewood completed the season as undefeated Regular Season Champions, 3 time Area Tournament Champions, Back to Back Sub-Regional & Regional Champions and appeared in the 6A State Championship game for the second year in a row, only to finish as the AHSAA State Runner-Up with an overall record of 27-7. Ward was selected to coach the North All-Stars during 2016 AHSAA All-Star Week held in Montgomery, AL.
In 2014-15 The 6A State Champion Lady Patriots finished the season as Walker HS Tournament Champions, Ramsay Hilltop Tournament Champions, Area 9 Undefeated Regular Season Champions, Area 9 Tournament Champions and as the first girls basketball team in school history to be ranked number 1 by the ALSWA (Sports Writers Association). They were back to back Area & Sub-Regional Champions and they are the first team to advance beyond the first round of regional play, also making them the first Regional Champions in school history. The Lady Patriots are the first team to make it to the state finals and the first state girls or boys, basketball championship in Homewood history while also setting a school-record with 30 wins. Coach JoVanka Ward was named Over The Mountain (OTM) Coach of the Year, ALSWA 6A Coach of the Year, AL.com State Finals Best Dressed Coach of the Year and USA Today Alabama High School Coach of the Year.
In the 2013-14 season the Lady Patriots finished with an Area & Sub-Regional Championship and a Sweet 16 appearance.
Prior to HMS JoVanka was an assistant women’s basketball coach at UAB for 5 years, and spent 2 years as First Assistant at Alabama A&M and other universities to include Howard and Virginia State. In 2008, after an 11 year career as a college basketball coach she decided to step away from the demands of college athletics to spend more time with her family.
Coach Ward is originally from Panama City, Panama but affectionately calls Hampton, VA home where she grew up and finished her college playing days. She played her prep-school basketball at Kecoughtan High School, then later went on to receive scholarships to play at Old Dominion University, where she spent one year and then completed her playing career at Hampton University.

Tim Shepler enters his ninth year with Elite Hoops.
Coach Shepler is a coaching veteran in the state of Alabama, currently in his 26th year as a head varsity basketball coach. For the last 20 years of his career, Shepler has been at Homewood High School, where he has built a consistently winning program. His teams at Homewood are known for their fundamental soundness and team-play on the floor.
Under Shepler, the Patriots have won or shared an area championship in nine of the last 13 years. They have also played in the state championship game twice in 2008 and 2010.
Shepler’s 456 wins rank him as one of the winningest active coaches in the entire state of Alabama. Throughout his coaching career at Homewood High School, over 25 of his former players have gone to play at the collegiate level. Impressively, this includes Birmingham star Ronald Nored, who had an extremely successful career at Butler University, and lead the Bulldogs to two NCAA Final Four appearances as the starting point guard.
Coach Shepler has a passion for teaching players the skills of the game and desires to instill the confidence that will make each player perform as a championship competitor, both mentally and physically.
