Savannah “Ready For Tryouts” Skill Development Series, Grades 5th-8th, Fall ’24
OVERVIEW
EHB & Calvary Day School are excited to offer a Skill Development Series, “Ready For Tryouts”, for both boys and girls in grades 5-8! The “Ready For Tryouts” Series will take place on Saturdays from October 5th, 2024 until November 9th, 2024, but there will be NO session on November 2nd, 2024. With a mission to grow the game of basketball through intentional fundamental development, we hope to be the doorway to your child falling in love with this great game.
Our “Ready For Tryouts” Series is designed to be for anyone wanting to prepare for middle school tryouts. Our focus during these sessions will be the advancement of basic fundamentals as well as small nuances that can give your child a competitive advantage heading into tryouts!
Week 1: Ball Handling & Finishing School
Week 2: Shooting Fundamentals, Moving without the Ball, and Game Shooting
Week 3: Pick & Roll Offense & Defense
Week 4: Do I Score or Pass? Improving your Decision Making & Basketball IQ
Week 5: Defense, the great separator! 3v3 and 5v5 competitions
